If you love fanfiction, please, look at this!
OK, so have you heard of fanfiction.net? If you have, you might have heard of this. Basically fanfiction.net is a place where fans can writes stories about any fandom they want and post it. It can be about anything, any ship, any scenario, anything. The motto on the site is ‘Unleash Your Imagination’. Sounds good right?
Well, fanfiction.net has decided that it’s going to ‘cleanse’ it’s library. Which means it’s getting rid of any story that contains slash, sex, mature situation and fics based on songs. Which is pretty much a majority of what goes on that site. Basically anything that isn’t PG and under is getting chucked.
Here’s the deal. This link goes to an online petition that will be shown to fanfiction.net in an effort to stop them making this stupid decision. All I ask is that you have a look at it and sign it if you want. I already have.
There is an amazing amount of talent on that site and a treasure trove of stories to be found, some that have taken months for people to write. If that is lost, what will happen? It’s horrible to think that some much work will have been put into these stories for it then to be lost. I can’t think of any other site that has that much fanfiction on it.
So please, help.
